Mending the Sacred Hoop Technical Assistance Project (MSH-TA)

Mending the Sacred Hoop is a Native program that began with the desire to change and enhance the way systems and service providers respond to violence against Indian women. Our primary purpose is to improve safety for Native women who experience battering, sexual assault, and stalking by assisting tribes through training, technical assistance, and resource material specifically addressing violence against American Indian/Alaskan Native women. Our STOP Violence Against Indian Women TA Project provides technical assistance, training, and resources to Office on Violence Against Women tribal grantees. Our Tribal Outreach Project and Capacity Building project promotes safety and sovereignty by creating tribal programs to address violence against Native women. In partnership with the Office on Violence Against Women, this project provides technical assistance and workshops nationwide to tribes on: developing community specific responses to violence against Native women; available funding to match the needs of specific Native communities; program development; and grant administration.

Southwest Center for Law & Policy (SWCLAP)
The Southwest Center For Law and Policy hosts the Tribal Trial College as well as provides free legal training and technical assistance to tribal communities and to organizations and agencies serving Native people in the areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, dating violence, firearms violence, abuse of elders, and abuse of persons with disabilities.
