This teleconference will focus on advanced situations involving inter-jurisdictional enforcement of protection orders that present themselves to practitioners, law enforcement, advocates and prosecutors in enforcing protection orders from outside their jurisdiction. Through the use of scenarios, advanced legal concepts will be clarified to ensure that the concepts of protection order enforcement, survivor safety, and offender accountability are addressed. Topics will include: Military protection orders, ex parte orders, mutual orders, etc. Participants in this teleconference must have a basic understanding of Full Faith and Credit or have participated in a previous presented Basic Full Faith and Credit workshop.
This training will be held via teleconference. Participants may submit questions prior to the teleconference via e-mail at ncffc@bwjp.org. There may be an opportunity to ask questions after the presentation or during the presentation if time allows. Registration is on a first come, first served basis.
