Types of Training and Assistance from the National Center on Protection Orders and Full Faith & Credit (NCPOFFC)
NCPOFFC offers training and problem-solving technical assistance by:
- Actively participating in training programs, workshops, and regional meetings to promote awareness and implementation of the VAWA full faith and credit mandate, enhancing enforcement of federal and state firearm prohibitions related to domestic violence, providing education on federal domestic violence and stalking crimes, and promoting enforcement of custody provisions within protection orders.
- Developing and disseminating materials to help various disciplines implement laws within their jurisdiction.
- Providing review and critique of legislation, policies, and procedures; and
- Responding to issues in the field by offering on-site technical assistance.
